Sean John signs underwear, loungewear and sleepwear license with Basic Resources
Sean John has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Basic Resources, an affiliate of Americo Group, Inc. This agreement will give the New York-based Basic Resources the license to manufacture and distribute men's underwear, loungewear and sleepwear for the Sean John label in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The Sean John Underwear, Sleepwear and Loungewear collection will debut at retail in Fall 2007 in the Sean John flagship store, major department stores and select specialty stores.
In addition to core silhouettes, the collection will include signature styles in luxury fabrications. Sean “Diddy” Combs said, “I am passionate creating an underwear line that would impress any man's woman. As I have proven with my apparel collections and fragrance, Unforgivable, Sean John is about a lifestyle and with Basic Resources we are adding an important component to our brand.” Salomon Harari, President of Basic Resources added, “Mr. Combs is one of the most influential imagemakers in the industry today. Sean John, a privately held company, was created by music icon and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs and made its fashion debut with a men's sportswear collection for the Spring 1999 season. With annual retail sales in the United States of over $450 million, Sean John is sold in better department and specialty stores across the country, as well as select retailers around the world.
