Diddy "Under the weather" after Nigeria trip
Nigeria’s ThisDay festival has hit the stars hard – a day after former Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland passed out onstage, rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was forced to cancel a string of commitments after falling ill. Rowland collapsed during her set at the charity show on Sunday and was taken to a hospital in Lagos, where she was treated for dehydration.
Now sources close to Diddy have revealed the rap mogul also fell ill during his trip to Nigeria, but his symptoms didn’t develop until he returned home to New York. Internet gossip Marc Malkin reports the rapper-designer had a “dangerously high 105 degree” fever at one point – and was forced to cancel a planned shoot for a Macy’s commercial in New York on Wednesday.
Diddy is expected to be well enough to appear live on cable network BET on Thursday, where he’ll premiere the video for his new single Through the Pain. A spokesman says, “He’s resting now. He’s feeling better.”
