A Raisin in the Sun will be airing in ABC
Sony Pictures TV execs Craig Zadan and Neil Meron have bought the rights to bring the Broadway play, A Raisin in the Sun to ABC.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and the main cast of the 2004 revival have signed on to star in the show, including Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald and Sanaa Lathan. Diddy will also be the executive producer through his Bad Boy World Wide Entertainment Group.
Kenny Leon will direct the show, and Paris Qualles is writing the script; shooting for A Raisin in the Sun begins in Toronto in December for a 2007 premiere on ABC.
